Food Tech - Quiche

Today in Food Tech we made mini Quiches. They are easy quick and yum to eat. I really enjoyed making these and I enjoyed eating them. I am happy I learned to make these because I can make them at home whenever I want.

Here is the Recipe that we used:

Quiche
Step 1 - Cut the pastry into 12 pieces
Step 2 - Dice ham
Step 3 - Whisk 4 eggs with 1/2 cup of milk
Step 3 - Put into the muffin tray

  1. Ham
  2. Cheese
  3. top with egg

Food Tech - Hotcakes

Today in Food Tech we cooked some hotcakes to help those who are wanting to do catering in the future.  The skills for this week that we will be following are:
1. Follow the instructions
2. How to read the ingredients 
3. How to measure the ingredients
These skills will help us get better at baking and cooking throughout the sessions that we will be taking and will also help those who continue to carry on with Food Tech.

Hot Cakes Method 
1. Mix together in a big measuring bowl 
- 1 1/2 c of Plain Flour
- 1 tsp Baking Powder 
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1 c of milk
- 1 egg

2. Mix well using the whisk
- Heat up the oil 
- 2 cakes at the time
- Wait until bubbles appear on the face of the cake than flip over and cook until golden brown.
